Or Buncombe County holds electronics recycling collection each Friday at the landfill on Panther Branch Road, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The following items are collected: fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, telephones, stereos, televisions and cell phones. Plastic Shopping and Grocery bags – Area Ingles Food Stores and local Wal-Mart Stores provide a recycling bin just for plastic bags usually located just inside the doors.
Furniture and Clothing Recycling Programs – donations may be made to ABCCM, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, Goodwill, Salvation Army, or to the Special Needs Thrift Shop.
